Back in May 2006, we were staying at my FIL’s house in Brantôme between Angoulême and Périgueux when the car park in front became flooded with classic cars! Some of them were from the turn of the century, whilst others were more postwar and from as recent as the 1970′s.

We had happened upon an event called “La Randonnee d’Ancêtres en Périgord”. A search on the net has turned up very little about this event, aside from the fact there was a 4th edition of it held last year. No idea if it is a meeting that started recently or one that has been going for decades.
Still it was a nice surprise to see so many interesting vehicles in a pictureque town like Brantôme and of course, a great photo opportunity.
